Barely a week prior to NAB 2017, EditShare has announced a binding agreement to acquire Spain-based QC specialist Quales.


quales showThe Boston-based provider of intelligent shared storage and media management solutions will announce the final details of the deal during NAB 2017, which is to be held in Las Vegas on 22-27 April.

“We are really excited about bringing the Quales team on board,” said James Richings, managing director, EditShare.

“We have a strong vision for integrated and automated QC applications throughout our Flow PAM platform. Quales brings a solid technology base and a strong product team, which will help us deliver a new and innovative approach to QC workflows over the coming year.”

As a result of the agreement, Quales will be already showcasing its quality check solutions for media at EditShare’s booth during the NAB event.

“This is a major breakthrough for Quales. We are really enthusiastic about becoming part of the EditShare product and company strategy, bringing up new concepts to video workflow automation and orchestration that, in the end, will be very beneficial to the market,” added Daniel Roqués, COO, Quales.

Founded in 2015 by a team with more than 20 years of experience in the industry, Quales aims to consolidate itself as the global reference for quality check system for video content. During last year, the company’s solution completed its cloud integration with Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services and Alibaba Cloud.
