French telecommunications company Free has launched a package of Chinese channels in partnership with technology developer Huawei as part of its Freebox IPTV service.

Free logoUp to 57 Chinese channels are now on offer in three different packs. These include a basic pack with 17 channels – five of which are in HD – for €7.99 a month, a medium pack with 37 channels including eight HD channels for €9.99, and a premium pack with 57 channels – 16 of which are in HD – for €11.99.

The company is offering viewers a free trial access to all content in the premium Chinese bouquet until 11 April 2017. The company claims that the bouquet will be the widest choice of Chinese channels available in France, and is aiming them at Chinese speakers who are resident or studying in the country.

Free, a subsidiary of Iliad, was the first company in France to provide a triple-play service of telephony, broadband and IPTV .
