Leading online video provider Comcast Technology Solutions has entered into an international channel deal with broadcasting and media technology systems architect Qvest Media.

comcastIn conjunction with Comcast, Qvest says it can offer Tier-1 broadcasters, telecommunication operators and pay-TV companies an ‘extensive’ toolkit to simplify the publishing, distribution and monetisation of their online video content.

The partners’ initial focus will be on the Middle East and Asia, where Qvest Media will serve as an international reseller and systems integrator of Comcast’s multi-platform video management and monetisation portfolio. Qvest and Comcast are also collaborating to develop and support new sales opportunities, hoping to lay the foundation of next-generation of TV services for over-the-top (OTT), subscription video-on-demand (SVOD), Transactional video-on-demand (TVOD), electronic sell-through (EST) and IPTV.
