In what it claims is a demonstration of its leadership in defining the future of home entertainment with advanced cutting-edge technology, Samsung has unveiled details of its new premium line-up of QLED TVs.

samsung 15 March 2017The sets are said to have been have been designed with the consumer in mind, and Samsung says it has addressed three key consumer pain points through the solutions known as Q Picture, Q Style and Q Smart. The QLED TV range uses new quantum dot technology to achieve what Samsung asserts is ‘next-level’ advancements in light efficiency, stability and a wider colour spectrum. With new metal Quantum dots, the QLED TV is claimed to address the major aspects of picture quality, including viewing angle, colour volume, brightness and bold contrast. The QLED TV can express accurate colour and achieves a 100% colour volume based on the on DCI-P3 standard.

The sets have what is called a Near-Invisible Connection cable that manages cords and clutter with a management system. Consumers can now design their space with an optical cable that brings all devices together, reclaiming the living room space once occupied by set-top boxes and external devices, says the company. They incorporate the Samsung TV Plus service through which users can find, purchase and watch the latest 4K films and entertainment.
