As demand for software-as-a-service (SaaS) solutions for TV continues to grow, Applicaster has named Sharon Gelbaum-Shpan as CMO to oversee the company’s expansion.

sharon shpan applicasterReadying several launches of video apps in Africa, Europe and the US for the first half of the year, the Israeli company intends to keep pace with the industry through this new executive appointment.

Gelbaum-Shpan joins Applicaster to lead the company’s market expansion strategy, offering existing customers such as Fox International, Televisa, ProSieben.Sat1, Mediaset and DirecTV new SaaS platforms and tools to deploy media apps that engage audiences across all screens.

Prior to joining Applicaster, Gelbaum-Shpan served as EVP for international and corporate development at Reshet Media. She also founded and headed The Lab, a joint venture between Reshet and ITV studios.

“In a time when content consumption habits are rapidly changing and viewers are migrating to platforms outside the TV screen, Applicaster has the technology, know-how and solutions to enable the shift, and power customers’ expansion and growth through quality and modular apps,” said Gelbaum-Shpan.
