Following a period of investment in its core IPTV offer, leading UK ISP TalkTalk has announced plans to revamp its mobile TV experience.

TalkTal 26 AprilThe company will facilitate its plans by extending its partnership with CSG International and integrate the Ascendon digital platform to enable customers to watch more content on-the-go, in and out of the home.

The update, set to begin this summer, will offer TalkTalk’s 1.3 million TV customers a more streamlined platform to make it easier for customers to find everything they want to watch in one place. Viewers will also be able to take advantage of new app features such as the ability to pre-order films, and a newly-created ‘Season Pass’ feature, which provides access to multiple box sets in a single purchase.

Commenting on the announcement, TalkTalk TV MD Aleks Habdank said: “This is an exciting new partnership for TalkTalk TV and one that will enable us to accelerate our mobile viewing offering. The integration of the Ascendon platform complements a number of recent innovations aimed at delivering a faster, more intuitive and seamless TV experience. We’re looking forward to customers being able to enjoy even more of the entertainment they love, whenever and wherever they want, both in and out of the home.”
