Malaga-based Tedial is to debut a new concept in storage virtualisation systems and an evolved automated media-assets-management (MAM) solution at NAB.

tedial nab 2017At NAB the Spanish provider of broadcasting solutions is presenting its Evolution Augmented Storage (AST), a revamped storage virtualisation system to enables users to handle any type of multimedia content regardless of its physical location. AST also facilitates media operations such as editing based on a time code and the efficient management of large UHD compression files across multiple sites.

The solution enables storage independent of MAM solutions, enabling companies to archive and publish content and easily as well as integrating it with third-party systems.

In addition to AST, Tedial is debuting Multiverse, an integration between Pebble Broadcast Systems’ Marina Automation and Tedial’s Evolution MAM, which delivers a flexible cross-platform media preparation and delivery solution.

The platform creates a seamless workflow between the MAM, playout systems and video-on-demand (VOD) services, solving distribution challenges for linear and non-linear channels.

For media asset versioning and replacement workflows, different versions of media assets for playout can be created and automatically added to Evolution MAM, which triggers Marina Automation to delete old media from its playlist and transfer new assets to playout, all without human intervention.
