Granahan McCourt Capital’s free streaming service ALTV has teamed up with Cairo-based advertising agency Media Square to support its monetisation strategy.

Joe Di Maio CEO ALTVThe online video service, which launched in the Middle East and North Africa in June 2016, is establishing a network of aspiring content creators across the MENA region to connect, create and share daily Arabic content.

Through the deal, Media Square will support ALTV’s digital video platform by attracting product placement, content sponsors and advertisements.

“ALTV is offering a fresh approach to connecting talented content creators with engaged local audiences, which is key to achieving our aggressive growth plans to be the market leader in Middle Eastern content,” remarked Joe Di Maio (pictured), CEO, ALTV.

“As part of our monetisation strategy, the ALTV platform offers a unique opportunity for brands to connect with end-user audiences in a much more targeted manner than other channels such as linear TV or online alternatives,” he added.

An ALTV production cooperative, Creative Collaborative, is set to announce a full slate of exclusive premium content and flagship shows, the company said.
