Yet as part of the efforts to increase its audience further, iQIYI says that mobile network operators need to deliver connectivity optimised for app users, meaning that it has to meet the demands of the continually evolving ecosystem of apps.
As part of this process, it has worked with Ericsson to provide a testing and optimisation methodology aimed at continually boosting network performance through its App Experience Optimisation solution. Operator China Unicom is also working on improving video experience benchmarking based on Ericsson' global database.
"Our technology team has always been working hard to provide premium experience for everyone that uses our applications,” explained Kent Liu, vice president of iQIYI's technology and products centre. “That's why we are joining hands with operators like China Unicom to make sure that all functions of our applications can work well via the mobile network.”
