Amazon India has sealed a content deal with Zodiak Kids which will take all four series of the popular children’s animation Horrid Henry to India.
Produced for UK channel CiTV by Novel Entertainment, Horrid Henry centres on a boy who feels that life just isn’t fair. Henry has a perfect little brother called Peter and the girl next door is on a mission to make his life miserable, while his mum and dad would love him dearly if only he’d stop misbehaving.“We are extremely happy to announce our collaboration with Zodiak Kids by bringing immensely popular characters like Horrid Henry to India. This alliance adds further volume to our existing bouquet of great kids’ programming, thus paving the way for us to have the largest exclusive selection of kids’ entertainment in India,” said Nitesh Kripalani, director and country head, Amazon Prime Video India.
The subscription video-on-demand service (SVOD) has also picked up Indian rights to animation series Extreme Football, Street Football and mystery-solving show Sally Bollywood as part of the 100-hour Zodiak content deal. The shows are set to launch on Amazon Prime Video in early 2017.
