Keshet International (KI) and Telefe Argentina are set to promote their new musical reality show, Heart Beats, to the global market at NATPE 2017.

heart beatsBuilding on their long-standing partnership, which saw Rising Star and Boom! extending across Latin America, in this new show, KI and Telefe seek to pair aspiring singers to become the next hit music duo.

Through a dedicated social TV app, viewers will vote on live performances in real time as well as reshuffling the contestants into musical and romantic couples each week. Viewers can also increase their engagement with the show through instant messaging, photo and video sharing, as well as entering competitions to win prizes in each episode.

Set to premiere soon on Telefe in daily episodes followed by live weekly galas, the format is the result of the two companies’ co-development deal struck in 2015.

“Heart Beats is a format that is the result of hard work, two highly creative teams and a lot of love. The result of this co-development, working side by side with KI brings, the best of two great entertainment companies from halfway around the world, and the combination of our cultures has resulted in this extremely disruptive format,” said Mercedes Reincke, head of content development at Telefe.

“We are very excited about the opportunity that NATPE presents to us this year to showcase Heart Beats, a uniquely Israeli-Argentine format hybrid resulting from the co-development pact with our outstanding partners at Telefe,” added Kelly Wright, Keshet Internacional’s head of Latin America.

Keshet International’s catalogue for NATPE will also include Prisoners Of War India, Welcome to the Wild, Boxed, Checkout and Deal With It Spain, the latest spin on KI’s hidden camera game show.
