The international division of Colombian TV network Caracol is preparing its content portfolio for NATPE, highlighting a new Pablo Escobar series filmed in Ultra HD.


pablo escobarSobreviviendo a Escobar Alias JJ is a series based on the book by John Jairo Velásques “Popeye”, one of Escobar’s deputies and leader of the Medellín cartel’s hitmen gang. The 4K TV show tells the story of Popeye in prison and how his life changes once Escobar is dead.

Sobreviviendo a Escobar is part of a large content agreement with Netflix.

Caracol Internacional will bring other premieres to NATPE such as Polvo Carnavalero, La Cacica, Festival Internacional del Humor 2016 and the web series series Pasada de Moda and Estado Civil.

NATPE 2017, the global marketplace for content and broadcasters, is to be held in Miami on 17-19 January.
