Parabole Reunion Group, a satellite pay-TV operator based in the south west Indian Ocean island, has announced the Replay TV VOD service in partnership with France’s software and service provider Quadrille.
Since mid-October 2016 Parabole Reunion has proposed non-linear content not only for direct content from Antenne Reunion but also for access to films and series from OCS GO. Now the Replay service will offer 100 hours per week of new programmes available at any time.
“Parabole Reunion Group has been a key DTH satellite pay-TV provider in the region, and is proud this time to bring the Replay service for its subscribers while entering in this strategic joint venture with Quadrille,” remarked Parabole Reunion Group CEO Michel Juanico. “This innovative technical set-up for Parabole Reunion Group will ensure that all its 80,000 subscribers enjoy the best of the DTH satellite TV experience in the future.”
To facilitate its VOD service, Parabole is deploying the QuadriFast software solution which enables it to set up an over the air delivery platform. Parabole Reunion Group is preparing all content on the island and then sending it to Paris where the ingest is carried out on the QuadriFast head-end. The system schedules the push of contents over satellite and on the receiving sides to set top boxes, with Quadrille readying, receiving and managing content.
Moreover Michel Juanico declared: “On TV sets over the air this was a real endeavour to provide non-linear content but we met that challenge thanks to Quadrille Push VOD Solution, which is straightforward and easy to integrate”.
“I am very glad and honoured to count today Parabole Reunion among our customers. With our push technology software, contents available inside the set top boxes have just an outstanding quality for the benefit of subscribers’ eyes” said Xavier Battas CEO of Quadrille.
“QuadriFast is a unique solution on the market which can tune the usage of the bandwidth to perform an end-to-end service at lower transmission costs” added Xavier Battas.
