Almost as soon as the ball passed through the hoop for AT&T, the NBA has announced that it has granted more Latin America broadcasting rights to ESPN.

nba ocklahomaIn the first tranche of rights DirecTV Sports will broadcast 120 games of the 2016-2017 NBA basketball season throughout Latin America. The games will be available in both SD and HD, as well as via live streaming and the DirecTVSports App.

In this latest move, the Spanish-language signals of ESPN promise up to 125 matches, an average of five live games per competition week. The US-based sports network hasn’t unveiled the full games schedule yet, but it will air up to five live matches per week on ESPN 3 and the streaming and mobile platform ESPN Play across Argentina, Chile, Paraguay, Uruguay, Bolivia, Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru.
