The digital terrestrial TV (DTT) service for Africa from Canal+, Easy TV, is being launched in Kinshasha in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC).

Canal Easy TV logoThe move marks the third deployment of Easy TV in Africa, following its launch in Brazzaville, the capital of the Republic of the Congo and in Lubumbashi, the DRC’s second largest city.

Working with Telenum DRC, the deployment is part of the French broadcaster’s strategy to service other cities across Francophone Africa in conjunction with local partners, and to offer the greatest number of popular channels.

Easy TV will cost viewers in Kinshasa CDF8,000 (US$8.3), and offer access to 30 Congolese, African and international channels.

Congolese channels on the DTT platform include RTNC, RTVA, RTDV and Antenne A, and join Canal+'s own African channel A+, Novelas TV, Infosport+, Cine+ Star, France 24, TV5 Monde and Planete.
