Imagen Televisión, the new Mexican free-to-air (FTA) network, has revealed its line-up, as well as its social media and mobile presence.
The network's content includes a significant component of Mexican- and LATAM-made original productions. The first FTA channel to launch in Mexico in more than 20 years will focus on fiction, news, entertainment and sports.
Set to premiere on 17 October during prime-time, Imagen Televisión (Canal 3) will air in-house fiction like Vuelve Temprano, co-productions such El Capo and hit titles like José de Egipto and Lady, la vendedora de rosas.
From the beginning, Imagen will have three news blocks and a daily show with a humorous look at the headlines. It will also air several entertainment formats like Sale el sol, Cambiame mix and El minute que cambió mi destino.
Mexico’s third FTA channel will also broadcast football, with rights for Los Gallos de Querétaro and Jaguares de Chiapas home games, and will produce its own sports magazine, Adrenalina.
Along with content, Imagen Televisión has launched social media feeds on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram and intends to make video-on-demand (VOD) content available through its site and mobile platforms for Android and iOS devices.
