Claro TV will distribute Eurochannel in Nicaragua, increasing the European channel’s footprint in Central America.

The entertainment network, which is already distributed in Nicaragua via satellite on SKY, will be added to both the basic and advanced pay-TV packages of América Móvil’s Claro TV.

“Nicaragua is one of the most important markets for Eurochannel in Central America, which is why we are pleased to increasing our distribution through this agreement with one of the leading operators in the region,” pointed out Gustavo Vainstein, president, Eurochannel.

This marks the third distribution agreement that the channel has with América Móvil’s pay-TV platform after deals in Colombia and Peru, and the first one in Central America.

“Through Eurochannel, we’ll offer entertainment, culture and education. We’re sure that series, films and other content will be highly accepted by Nicaraguans,” said Gilda Tinoco, corporate communication manager, Claro.
