As Chile grows in importance for Turner, the company is readying a new commercial team in the country, where it manages 20 TV channels.

enrique matteEnrique Matte Puga has been appointed sales manager, heading the new commercial unit, leading the commercial strategies of all 20 networks and taking charge of the Santiago-based advertising sales team.

In Chile, Turner operates 19 pay-TV channels - CNN International, CNN Chile, CNN en Español, HLN, Cartoon Network, Boomerang, Tooncast, TNT, TNT Series, SPACE, TBS, TCM, I.Sat, Warner Channel, truTV, MuchMusic, HTV and Glitz - and one free-to-air (FTA) network, Chilevisión.

“Chile’s market has gained a leading role in Turner’s Latin American strategy, as our signals are placed among the most watched channels of Chile’s pay-TV,” said Bernardo Benedit, VP, ads sales, Turner Latin America. “This is why we have decided to have Enrique Matte lead our new sales team placed in Santiago de Chile, so we improve our bond with clients, media agencies and strategic partners.”

Before arriving to Turner, Matte Puga gained experience within Chile’s media industry as commercial manager at the media agency Multichannel Media Sales Chile Ltda and as sales manager at VTR and Red Televisiva Megavisión.
