AT&T is readying a mobile video subscription bundle targeting viewers interested in anime, video games, niche action sports and other off-the-beaten-path content.

crunchyrollAccording to industry bible Variety,  the platform is being developed by San Francisco-based Ellation, which is part of the Otter Media joint venture that AT&T and Chernin Group formed in 2014

Ellation owns the anime-focused over-the-top (OTT) streaming service Crunchyroll, which will form the core of the service. The offering will either be a set bundle or a la carte model, according to sources. Variety also reported that trademark registrations point to a “Vrv” branding, and that a launch could come as early as later this year.
