Spanish media management company VSN has selected Microsoft Azure as its preferred platform for enabling cloud-based workflows on its broadcasting solutions.

azure vsnThe recent integration of VSNExplorer, its media-asset-management (MAM) modules, with Azure marks the ongoing agreement between VSN and Microsoft, creating an environment for collaborative work between different locations.

“The integrated cloud-based MAM solution addresses the most demanding media needs of companies operating in the industry,” announced VSN as it presented the tool at the recent NAB Show in Vegas.

Thanks to this integration, VSN users can now access a video-on-demand (VOD) or live streaming platform without bandwidth constraints, incorporating MPEG-DASH support, multi-device and DRM management, protection and encryption provided by AES, PlayReady, Widevine and fairPlay.
