US Latino Spanish-language movie network provider Olympusat has bolstered its over-the-top offerings by acquiring TV everywhere and OTT video app solutions firm Float Left Interactive.
Float Left provides TV app solutions and specialises in developing immersive, cross-platform applications with a strong emphasis on personalisation and engagement. Since 2009, Float Left has launched over 250 over-the-top and TV everywhere applications with customers including Fox, CBS Sports, Viacom, AMC Networks and Red Bull. After the deal closes Float Left Interactive will continue to operate under its consumer-facing brand, but will be based at Olympusat’s Corporate Headquarters in West Palm Beach, Florida.
The acquisition is part of Olympusat’s efforts to expand its digital footprint and engage a wider audience across its VEMOX B2B carrier-grade OTT platform. Developed for operators in the US and Latin America, the VEMOX platform combines technology and content, creating a customisable OPEX-based turnkey solution with over 100+ live Spanish and English language channels and 5,000+ hours of VOD content.
