Broadcasting solutions provider Egatel will be presenting its latest low power TV transmitters and gap-fillers series at NAB 2016 in Las Vegas from 18 April.
transmitter egatelThe TUWH1000 and RUWH1000 families reach output powers up to 115Wrms in a single rack unit and its compact design facilitates installation, operation and maintenance tasks.

By applying wideband Doherty technology, the company extends high energy efficiency to TV transmitters and gap-fillers that will be used in the latter stages of TV network coverage.

“No other broadcast manufacturer had assumed this commitment in favour of energy efficiency applied to energy and space savings,” said José Mariño, sales and marketing director, Egatel. “TV channels need easy ways of reducing expensive maintenance costs and seek reliable and high quality systems.”

The new series, which support DVB-T/T2, ATSC and ISDB-Tb digital standards, has been specifically developed for filling in coverage gaps in space saving situations.

The Ourense-based company will also be showing the smart LNB, a terminal specifically developed for the satellite operator Eutelsat. The device, premiered at IBC, opens the door to a wide range of satellite TV connected services such as HbbTV, social networking, subscription-based management and on-demand services.
