Spain’s Mediapro has produced personalised feeds of the FC Barcelona vs. Real Madrid football game to broadcasters from over 90 countries globally.

camp nouThe El Clásico match aired on Saturday (2 April) in China, the US, the whole of Latin America and Europe as well as many African countries.

Most of the world’s leading broadcasters, including ESPN, SKY, beIN, FOX and Viasat, used Mediapro’s signal during the game. In addition, many were also personalising the feed with on-pitch commentators and their own Barcelona-based teams.

For the second time, the match was also available in Ultra HD. The 4K feed was used by traditional broadcasters, like Spain’s Movistar+, as well as more innovative broadcasting such as NeuLion’s streaming to Sony’s connected devices.

In order to meet the growing demands of the worldwide broadcasting industry, Mediapro deployed a 300-strong team at Camp Nou stadium, with seven ENGs, one of them equipped with eight 4K and one ultra slow cameras, six DSNGs for satellite broadcasting and 35 cameras placed inside the stadium.

Following La Liga’s plans to schedule games so that most of the world can watch them live, El Clásico aired at regular times for the Americas, Africa, Europe and Middle East.
