AOL's Kanvas has launched a mobile technology: Kanvas Live on Android.
Kanvas Live brings a creative element to mobile live streaming with real time editing, filters, gif stickers, painting, animated themes and six compose modes.
Following the recent launch of Kanvas 5.0 on iOS in October, the platform has doubled in users, hosts over 100 hours of live video viewed per day, and features over 1,000 Kanvas official accounts. As mobile users rely even more on mobile live experiences, Kanvas provides a way for users to broadcast with an added element of interactivity and creativity that allow them to share fun experiences and everyday moments.
"We're excited to bring Kanvas Live to Android users for the first time," said Vic Singh, founder of Kanvas. "Kanvas Live for Android allows users to personalise their live video stream with real-time edits and fun effects unlike any other live streaming service on the market."
Key features for Kanvas Live on Android mirror Kanvas Live on iOS, including: real-time editing of live video streams; 24 themes to place on top of the live stream including fog, ghost, rain, love, bubbles, TV, horror, psychedelic and starry night; 12 real-time video filters to change the look and feel of the live stream including tilt-shift, pixelate, monochrome, inverted, haze and blur; drawing with endless colours and the ability to erase and undo in real-time; animated gif stickers with the ability to resize and rotate; streaming live video to Kanvas community, Facebook and Twitter; real time viewing with the ability to chat in real time and also comment with stickers in real time; six compose modes including flipbook, painting, Gif burst, stop motion video, thoughts and custom.
