Ahead of launching its first free-to-air (FTA) DTT network, Spain's Grupo Secuoya has finalised the channel's team.

Javier Valero, who is already part of Secuoya's executive team, will be director of The 10 channel, and Santiago González, former TVE director, will be head of the group's television business.

Although the directors will announce further names in the coming weeks, Alejandro Samanes has been confirmed as corporate director, the former vice-director of Barlovento, Javier López, will be head of programming and María José Prieto, former news producers in Mediaset's Telecinco, has been appointed as production director.

Regarding the commercial wing of the new channel, Ángel de Vicente, who comes from public broadcaster RTVE, has been named commercial director. In addition, Secuoya's marketing, content, audiovisual digital and financial teams have planned the new channel's launch strategy.

Scheduled for premiere in March, the network has been airing a 30-second promotional loop since December and intends to become a type of a production lab, where the company's own formats are tested with the Spanish audience before going international.
