Discovery Channel and Eurosport 1 and 2 will be available through Movistar's satellite platform and the online service Yomvi.

Previously only available for IPTV subscribers, Dicovery Networks has reached an agreement with Telefónica's pay-TV platform to air the networks over the entire Movistar portfolio. In addition, the Eurosport 360 channel, with a multi-camera feature, will be available for those subscribing to a premium sports package.

Through this agreement, Movistar strengthens its sports portfolio, bringing to the platform the last stages of the Australia Open tennis championship, which started on 18 January. Eurosport, which has exclusive broadcasting rights to the Grand Slam for Spain, provides a different feed from each court, so viewers can select their preferred match.

Since Discovery acquired control of Eurosport in 2014, the group has been focusing on expanding in several non-English markets, launching, for example, the Spanish-language feed for Eurosport 2 last summer.
