Continuing its momentum against over-the-top (OTT) rivals, Hulu has inked a new library deal that will see full seasons of series and top films from Sony Pictures added to its bouquet.
The multi-year agreement will expand Hulu’s premium content with the likes of programming such as all episodes of The Shield, Party of Five, Dawson’s Creek and Damages as well as a full list of films from the Sony archives including Jerry Maguire, Midnight in Paris and My Best Friend’s Wedding.
All series and films acquired through the deal will be available to stream through the OTT firm’s No Commercial and Limited Commercials subscription plans.
The news was revealed at Hulu’s Winter TCA presentation where it unveiled panels for upcoming drama series 11.22.63 and The Path, and unveiled details around upcoming original series Shut Eye. The deal also comes on the heels of a series order for CHANCE and a new agreement with A&E Studios for the exclusive streaming rights to all past episodes of the critically-acclaimed series UnReal.
