Trace and YipTV have signed a distribution agreement that will take five Trace thematic channels onto the over-the-top (OTT) platform.

Trace Sport Stars, Trace Gospel, Trace Tropical, Trace Toca and Trace Africa will be included in YipTV's schedules from early 2016.

Targeting Hispanics and other multilingual groups in the US, YipTV launched this year with a portfolio full of networks from around the world. The launch of the Trace channels aims to meet the demand for multicultural programming not available through major cable providers in the US.

The carriage deal also marks further expansion of the Trace group in the US and the first launch of Trace Gospel in the US, less than a month after the channel’s worldwide premiere, making Trace's full catalogue available across the country.

“This carriage deal demonstrates the appetite of multicultural audiences in the US for the Trace channels,” said Timothée Vidal, VP distribution, Trace. “Due to Trace and YipTV’s shared audiences, partnering with YipTV has been a natural move for Trace.”

“The addition of Trace programming nicely complements our current channel line-up as we’ve found music and religious content to be very popular among our subscribers,” added Michael Tribolet, CEO, YipTV.
