MoMedia, the video-on-demand (VOD) content manager, has partnered with Spain's Zinkia Entertainment to distribute the first two series of pre-school animated TV series Pocoyo on streaming.


Pocoyo is a Zinkia production that follows the adventures of a three-year-old boy and his animal friends. English actor and author Stephen Fry narrates the English language version.

The series has been sold to 150 broadcasters around the world, including Nick Jr in the US, CITV in the UK and Discovery Kids in Latin America.

To support the deal, MoMedia, whose investors include venture capital firm ESRG and Endemol Shine, will build upon the brand with a social media marketing campaign and promotional activity in conjunction with Zinkia.

“Everyone at MoMedia is very excited to be working with Zinkia on Pocoyo. It’s such a great brand that’s enjoyed huge success on traditional broadcast platforms and attracted over two million subscribers on YouTube,” said Lucas Bertrand, CEO of MoMedia.

“We are proud to work with Momedia to further develop our presence in digital platforms. As one of the favourite characters among children, it's very important for Zinkia that Pocoyo has a multiplatform presence,” stated Jose María Castillejo, chairman, Zinkia Entertainment.
