The 4K 4Charity Fun Run Series commemorates major Ultra HD achievements by the global media and entertainment industry and the technology vendors who support it.

Elemental Technologies, together with co-founding sponsor Ericsson, is using the 4K 4Charity Fun Run to raise funds for CARE. The organisation aims to fight global poverty and focuses on community-based efforts to improve basic education, end gender-based violence, provide healthcare and nutrition, increase access to clean water and sanitation, expand economic opportunity and protect natural resources.

As the runners lined up, the Corporate Challenge Leaderboard Standings for the 4K 4Charity Fun Run showed that 347 people from 107 companies are participating, with registration donations closing at €9,375 and corporate sponsorship donations at €22,800.

Elemental Technologies crossed the registration donations line first with €1,545 with security expert Verimatrix coming second with €570. The front two were followed by EVS (€420) who inched ahead of Ericsson (€415) and Aspera on €400.

The host sponsor also finished  in the lead as regards registered runners (32) followed by EVS (21), Ericsson (18), V Nova Ltd (17) and Host Broadcast Services (16). Rapid TV News is a proud media partner of the 4K 4Charity Fun Run and also participated in the event.
