Looke, a new over-the-top (OTT) video player, has been launched in Brazil, with a mixed business model including subscription video-on-demand (SVOD) and pay-per-view options.

With an initial catalogue of 7,500 films, documentaries, series and music shows, the OTT platform is available for producers and distributors to promote their content through.

Aiming to differentiate its offer in an increasingly competitive market, Looke offers a variety of rates and subscription plans. The monthly, flat-rate subscription is available for around $5 per month, while single pieces of content can be rented for between $1-3 and purchased for $3.50 to $12.50.

The platform, which will air movies 45 days after their cinema premieres, is also offering an introductory month's free subscription.

Looke allows up to three connected devices under the same subscription and is available for Samsung, LG and Philips smart TVs, iOS and Android smartphones and tablets, Xbox 360 and One and computers.
