Russian national cinema chain Cinema Park will equip an additional 100 auditoriums across 24 Cinema Park locations with RealD's 3D technology.

Cinema Park, which has a 16% market share of the Russian box office, already has installed 79 auditoriums at seven locations with RealD systems. The expanded agreement means that RealD 3D technology will canvas all of Cinema Park's locations across Russia, raising the RealD's installed base in the country to more than 570 screens—a 20% share.

"Nineteen biggest Russian cities with Cinema Park theatres will get the unique opportunity to watch the movies on a special silver screen with high image brightness and clarity, possible only with RealD 3D technology, and with a perfect 3D sound," said Goarik Kotanjan, general director of Cinema Park. "Now the world's highest quality standards will be available not only for citizens of Moscow and Saint-Petersburg, but the citizens of the most faraway cities of our country, which will allow to improve the quality of screening and raise it to a brand new level."

Eugene Lebedev, general director of RealD Russia, added, "Despite a large amount of competitive 3D systems hitting the market, we're proud to partner with Cinema Park, a company focused on delivering a quality cinematic experience that prioritises the enjoyment of their customers by installing the industry's brightest 3D systems available. Cinema Park is a prestigious partner and one which matches our own ambitions – we're proud to continue to grow in a region which matches our passion for premium quality cinema. We look forward to continuing to expand in our offering in this area."
