Leading French broadcaster TF1 has implemented SintecMedia's OnRights rights management software solution to help it earn higher revenue from content and licensing inventories across its linear, non-linear and digital platforms.

TF1 will use the technology to manage and track content rights and inventory across its entire multi-platform business and catalogue of acquired, commissioned and distributed content.

OnRights is designed to manage content rights and royalties across multiple platforms, territories, languages and formats. The system captures inbound (rights in) and outbound (rights out) content licensing including legal, programming, scheduling and financial terms.

The OnRights architecture enables real-time access into inventory availability, identifying opportunities to monetise unused content internally and to grow revenue by licensing content externally. OnRights also streamlines contract maintenance, tracks deliverables and manages payment, improving team efficiency and preventing over-payments.

"TF1 continues to invest in technology solutions that make it easier and more affordable to deliver world-class programming," said TF1 CIO Michel Cordival. "With OnRights we are able to make better use of and ultimately earn more from our content by investing in a system that manages easily rights. We are changing the way that we run our business and we are pleased to invest in technologies that move our industry forward."
