VSN will showcase a new version of its VSNExplorer media assets management (MAM) tool for broadcasters at NABShow 2015, which will enable users to upload and download content from the cloud, with transcoding, and files being editable from the moment they are transferred.

At the broadcasting summit, held between 11-16 April in Las Vegas, VSN's MAM tool will be the star of the Spanish company's exhibition. VSNExplorer's functionalities are already being tested by a number of companies which are currently using it to ingest a video live stream while different terminals are making edits on the proxy from remote locations.

The tool simplifies this process and is eyeing online TV platforms, as once the files are ready, only one click is needed to share them across social networks, over-the-top (OTT) or Web TV.

Among the features included VSN highlights the decentralised workflows to enhance collaborative work from different locations; transfer acceleration protocol; downloading while ingesting and while transcoding, to have the files ready for editing at any location at the very start of the ingest process; distributed storages to have redundancy on the system; and availability of MAM actions from any location and to any screen.

The Barcelona-based company will also present the integration of its media assets management tool with VSNLogger, a new functionality targeting sports and live production.
