Becoming the first Mexican operator to offer the whole HBO package in the country, Axtel TV has launched HBO On Demand, the network's VOD service, which joins the ten pay-TV channels already available and TV everywhere platform HBO Go.
HBO Latin America and the Mexican operator have announced the launch of the VOD service, which comes at no extra cost to HBO/MAX package subscribers.
"We are happy to have Axtel TV as a partner, as it is committed to deliver the best entertainment to its subs, offering them several options with varying content," said Francisco Smith, senior VP of marketing and sales at HBO Latin America www.hbomax.tv. "With HBO On Demand, viewers can watch complete seasons and movies at any time."
Although not all HBO programming is available on-demand, a wide selection of the networks' most successful programmes can be watched on the platform, including movies, original HBO series, documentaries, kids and adults programming. The offer starts with over 350 hours of VOD content which is refreshed weekly.
"With HBO On Demand our Axtel TV service gets a more solid position as the only fully interactive TV option in Mexico. We are sure the new VOD service will be an important complement to our offer and will increase our presence in the market," added Jenaro Martínez, director at Axtel TV www.axtel.mx.
