Replacing the BBC World News channel on Global Village Telecom's (GVT) schedule, Fox News is returning to the Brazilian pay-TV arena after a two-year absence.

At the end of 2012, Sky failed to renew the Fox distribution agreement in Brazil, giving financial reasons as the only explanation. This move was followed a few months later by Net (América Móvil) and GVT. But from 16 December, the US network will be once again available on pay-TV in the country via GVT, Brazil's fourth largest operator which was recently acquired by Telefónica.

GVT's website has already announced the replacement of the BBC international signal with Fox News, which will be available for clients with the UltraHD and UltimateHD package, without any extra charge.

In Latin America, Fox News is available in Argentina (Cablevisión, Telecentro, Supercanal), Bolivia (Tigo), Chile (VTR, Movistar, GTD), Colombia (Claro, UNE-Tigo), Dominican Republic (Tricom, Claro, Aster, Sky), Costa Rica (Tigo, Cabletica, Sky), Ecuador (TV Cable, Claro), El Salvador (Tigo, Claro, Sky), Guatemala (Claro, Sky), Honduras (Tigo, Claro, Sky), , México (Cablemás, Sky, Megacable, Cablevisión, Cablecom, TVI, Axtel, Maxcom, Totalplay, Telecable, Ultravisión), Nicaragua (Claro, Sky), Panamá (Cable Onda, Cable & Wireless, Sky), Paraguay (Tigo), Perú (Movistar, Claro), Uruguay (TCC, Nuevo Siglo) and Venezuela (NetUno).
