In a move to relaunch its pay-TV service, Claro is giving free video-on-demand (VOD) programming to its IPTV customers in Puerto Rico.

claroIPTV subscribers will be able to watch the main Claro On Demand channels including programming from NBC, Bravo, E!, Golf Channel, USA Network, SyFy and Sprout. Over 1,500 hours of VOD content and a wide portfolio of HD movies are now available for regular pay-TV subs.

The content is free of charge for IPTV customers, who will have access to it through the pay-TV platform interface or set-top box (STB) remote.

Claro has also announced it will offer IPTV for free during the final months of this year to clients subscribing to the company's triple-play service. Customers subscribing to telephone, Internet and IPTV during October will also be entered into a competition to win a tablet.

Claro's 3Play includes unlimited phone calls in Puerto Rico and the US, access to Claro Wi-Fi throughout the island and IPTV, for a cost of $67.
