South Korea's Munhwa Broadcasting Corporation (MBC) is to supply content for Turner Broadcasting System's new Oh!K general entertainment channel in the Asia-Pacific region.

Oh!K will have access to MBC content, including first-runs and exclusives, shortly after the transmission premiere in South Korea. MBC, South Korea's oldest commercial network, currently produces some 1,400 hours of content each year, which is distributed in more than 100 countries.

"Oh!K combines the best in content with Turner's proven history in curating some of the most successful channels in Asia Pacific. We are thrilled to partner with MBC in creating what I'm sure will be an iconic brand for Southeast Asia, and we are looking forward to introducing it to the region in the coming months," said Ricky Ow , president of Turner Asia-Pacific.

Jung Woo Oh, executive managing director, media business of MBC, added: "The launch of Oh!K will allow an even bigger audience to enjoy MBC's unique brand of storytelling, and we can't wait to share our best shows with fans in Southeast Asia."
