Electus International has sold Running Wild with Bear Grylls to Discovery Networks International. The series, which premiered in the US on NBC in July, follows Grylls as he takes celebrities into "remote and wild locations in the US and around the world" for 48 hours.

The first season includes Zac Efron, Ben Stiller, Channing Tatum, Deion Sanders, Tom Arnold and The Today Show's Tamron Hall.

The series will premiere on Discovery Networks International's factual channels later this autumn in nearly 220 countries and territories across Western Europe, Central & Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa (CEEMEA), Latin America and Asia Pacific.

"Bear Grylls continues to be one of the most famous survivalist draws in the world, and Running Wild meshes that draw with some of the world's most famous celebrities for a can't miss event," said John Pollak, president of Electus International. "Partnering with Discovery Networks International once again to bring another Bear Grylls show to their audiences worldwide is a huge accomplishment."

Airing on NBC, Running Wild was the summer's top-rated new unscripted series, earning 4.6 million viewers. Overall it was the No. 2 summer reality launch in the United States.
