Net Insight has announced that a national broadcaster in Latin America has selected the company's Nimbra solution to integrate a number of its communication services into one platform, including video contribution and distribution, data services and management traffic for centralised control.
The broadcaster required a new video contribution and distribution network, integrating all data needs, in planning the digital TV introduction.
"Net Insight's presence in the Latin America market is growing in parallel with the region's rapid digitalisation," says Fredrik Tumegård, CEO of Net Insight. "This broadcaster is a good example of how our Service Aware Media Network solution over Ethernet simplifies complexities while lowering operational cost."
To lower OPEX, the broadcaster will use the lowest-cost service provider for each connection to reach different TV stations. Net Insight's Nimbra solution will enable the broadcaster to operate its networks as one unified network with centralised routing control. With the solution's strong monitoring capabilities, they can troubleshoot and verify the service level agreements (SLAs) relating to each service providers' links. The solution enables the broadcaster to control the activation and deactivation of video connections through the use of the user-friendly interface for provisioning, Net Insight's Touch&Switch.
