DVEO, the broadcast division of Computer Modules Inc (CMI), is partnering with Octoshape on a new line of Internet-based video contribution devices.

The partnership will combine the Octoshape Infinite Uplink technology, which replaces traditional satellite and video fibre systems with video contribution over the Internet, and DVEO's encoding and decoding platforms. The idea is to target broadcasters looking at alternative contribution technologies to satellite transmission and its associated costs.

"We are excited to bring this combined product to market with Octoshape," said Laszlo Zoltan, CEO at CMI "The unique quality and reach components of Infinite Uplink opens up a large market for low cost global video contribution and distribution over the Internet, and we are ready to service the demand for carrier grade solutions."

Michael Koehn Milland, CEO of Octoshape, added: "We are pleased to expand our eco-system partnerships with DVEO. This addition enables a broader range of customers to deploy Octoshape's broadcast video distribution solutions."
