Spanish public network TVE is now broadcasting its four channels through Google Glass via an app designed by the network's interactive department in collaboration with the start-up Droiders.

TVE tested out mobile broadcasting through the Google Glass during the coronation of the new Spanish king, and now intends to continue streaming its channels - La 1, La 2, 24 Horas and TDP – through the device. The initiative for the wearable device is the first of its kind in the Spanish TV market.

With this move, TVE reinforces its multiscreen presence, adding one more mobile device to its availability list, in addition online channels and the video-on-demand (VOD) platform Botón Rojo.

Droiders, based in Murcia, is one of Google's official developers for Google Glass, having been selected in 2013 among the first 80 companies to create apps for the device. In addition to TVE's streaming app, Droiders has launched, among other things, software for orchestra conductors to conduct musicians without any score.
