The Disney Channel will expand its cable distribution in Germany following a new carriage deal signed with Kabel Deutschland.

Germany's largest cable operator will distribute the free-to-air channel in analogue on its cable networks in Bavaria and Berlin from 3 April. With the move, the family channel will extend its reach by more than 3 million to a total of around 37.7 million households, corresponding with 98% of German TV households.

Also from 3 April, Kabel Deutschland will carry Disney Channel in high-definition on its cable network.
