¡Hola! TV continues its growth in Latin America, where it is to launch in Bolivia, Paraguay and Dominican Republic. It has also recently announced a distribution agreement with Venezuela's direct-to-home (DTH) operator Intercable.

The channel, a co-production of Spain's Atresmedia and ¡Hola! magazine (http://www.hola.com/), has been increasing in popularity among the pay-TV audience in LATAM and the US since it started airing at the end of last year.

Anticipating an even larger distribution during the coming months, the network has named a new sales director for Latin America and the US. Rolando Figueroa will work close to MBA Networks and Imagina US to develop the channel's new distribution strategy, looking to the long term. During the past 15 years, Figueroa has worked for some of Latin America's most important producers and distributors including MGM, Endemol and the BBC.

"Increasing distribution while creating a solid position in the region and opening new markets are our priorities," explained Ignacio Sanz de Acedo, the network's CEO. "We are carrying out an important investment effort in order to reinforce our programming and intend to seriously increase our audience during the coming months."

During its short period on air, ¡Hola! TV managed to be placed among the 30 most watched channels of DirecTV, one of Latin America's main satellite pay-TV platforms.
