Atresmedia is to launch Atres Series, a full HD 24/7 channel for Latin America.

The channel is the group's third international TV network and was presented at the Andina Link pay-TV summit in Colombia.

Atres Series will focus on Spanish series, many of which will be the latest audience successes produced by Atresmedia. The media group co-produces over 600 hours of series per year and has become a leader in the Spanish production market.

Atres Series completes the group's international pay-TV offer, which also comprises Antena 3 Internacional – which has been broadcasting in the region for over 15 years – and the recently launched Hola TV, which also targets Latin American and US Hispanic audiences. The new network will be available on the region's pay-TV platforms from June.

The channel's schedule includes various genres such as historical productions like Hispania and the latest success El Tiempo Entre Costuras; series for youngsters like Física o Química, which has also achieved international recognition; comedies such as Aquí No Hay Quien Viva; and science fiction shows including Los Protegidos.

"Atres Series is a great opportunity to increase our presence in Latin America and open a new business window for a region in which our series are already a success," said Mar Martínez, international manager at Atresmedia.
