IPTV provider VBox Communications has unveiled its V@Home TV Gateway product family which it boldly claims will revolutionise the way live TV is distributed across a household.

The new product is designed to bring live, free over-the-air (OTA) and premium pay-TV, including HDTV, from satellite, cable, antenna and the Internet to connected and mobile devices across the home. The V@Home whole house DVR includes multiple HDTV tuners and streams live and recorded TV programmes in their original broadcast TV quality up to Full-HD 1080p 3D with surround sound, to connected devices like smartphones, tablets, smart TVs and IP set-top-boxes.

"VBox changes the way people consume TV; for the first time, premium content is available for mobile devices," claimed Amir Aharonovich, VBox's VP marketing. "A V@Home with pay-TV can share a single CAM CI card between mobile and connected devices allowing consumers to watch and record multiple pay-TV channels simultaneously."
