In December, euronews broke an audience record of 13.6 million unique visitors on YouTube, garnering a 160% growth over one year.

The international news channel boasts it has now become "The first news channel in the world on YouTube".

euronews disclosed its YouTube strategy last April in Cannes during MIPTV, as it introduced its new science channel euronews knowledge, with the aim of positioning itself as No 1 within a year.

On the video-sharing platform, euronews offers 20 channels in 13 languages to some 600,000 subscribers and totalling around 500 million video views.

euronews also says that it is the second media network in Europe enabled to use the YouTube Multi-Channel Network label, giving it the opportunity to help partners starting on YouTube or strengthening their existing presence.
