The X Factor Israel was launched by Reshet TV on 26 October to a 49% audience share. A reported 1.1 million viewers tuned in to propel it to the most watched talent show yet to air in the Middle East country.

Hosted by supermodel Bar Rafaeli, The X Factor Israel judging panel includes Israeli pop star Ivri Lider, singer and actress Shiri Maimon, who represented Israel in Eurovision 2005. Iraeli punk star Rami Fortis and singer-songwriter Moshe Peretz make up the full judging panel.

The Israeli version of the Simon Cowell created format exceeded the Channel 2 prime time average by 32%, and the slot average by 18%, according to distributor Fremantle Media.

A 50.3% audience share was recorded among 18-34-year-olds, a figure which tops the prime time average by 52% and the slot average by 27%.
