Germany's national telco Deutsche Telekom wants to set up a Web TV portal in early November.

T-Online TV will be available on Deutsche Telekom's Internet platform and contain video content both from T-Online and third parties, T-Online head Ralf Baumann told German industry magazine new business.

T-Online's original productions will include Replay, a daily review of the previous day's TV programmes.
T-Online has so far signed contracts with the content providers Brainpool (Schlag den Raab, Ladykracher, TV Total, Bülent Ceylan Show), Kogel & Schmidt (Harald Schmidt Show), Bitprojects (Tatort-Nachlese, VIP-Spotlight), ZDF (advisory clips from Contunico),, Thomson Reuters, Deutsche Welle, dpa and Clipkit, according to Baumann.

Programmes from commercial TV groups RTL and ProSiebenSat.1 will be shown on an external player. Baumann said he also wants to acquire videos from news portals Spiegel Online and Bild Digital from time to time.
