As the landmark European broadcasting event draws nearer, the Perception IPTV platform from Vision247 and Fora has been shortlisted for an IBC2013 Innovation Award.

The converged platform is designed to deliver multiscreen choice to connected audiences, offering telcos an OTT option for their IPTV propositions and the ability to manage linear digital and HD TV services across a range of viewing models. Furthermore Perception is designed to provide hundreds of linear digital TV services, and more than 20 HD services across a range of viewing models including free, subscription time-based services and pay-per-view services.

The IBC2013 Innovation Award nomination comes in the category of content management, and drew upon the real life case of delivering services across multiple platforms for Slovenian telecoms service provider T-2.

Commenting on the nomination, John Mills, CEO, Vision247, said: “Being shortlisted for an IBC Innovation Award represents a unique international platform to demonstrate how, with Perception, we can support telco providers like T-2 by harnessing the cloud and managing hybrid IPTV and OTT content. All to bring television to audiences the way they want it.”
